Chris was born in London in 1989 into a family where he was surrounded by music. He played a number of instruments from a young age but while studying at The Purcell School of Music and Royal Academy of Music, decided to focus on percussion and drums.

Chris is currently involved with a number of projects and prides himself on the versatile nature of his diary, taking him from playing Jazz and Folk through to Pop and other forms of groove such as Broken Beat or Hip-hop in an ordinary week. The fusion of this (and other genres) can be seen in his own project – Fenchurch 3IO – who are set to release their debut album on the Jazz Re:freshed label in 2013. Watch this space!

Chris has had the opportunity to play with some fantastic musicians including Sir Simon Rattle, Sir John Dankworth, Soweto Kinch, Jean Toussaint, Femi Temowo, Steve Fishwick, Brandon Allen, Quentin Collins, Ross Stanley, Ian Shaw and many others and can often be found playing at venues including Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Dean St and the 606.
