Ben Kennedy

A graduate from The Academy Of Contemporary Music in 2006, Ben has already had great success as session drummer, with high profile gigs across the country. Ben’s first TV Appearance came when he was cast for a Sony Advert in October 2007. The advert was promoting the new walkman and was filmed in the prestigious Alexandra Palace.

Within the year, he landed a gig with one of the biggest girl pop bands in the world, Girls Aloud. This involved playing drums and acting in the video for the number one hit single and Brit Award Winner for best single, The Promise. Ben continued to be part of the promotion of the record with a live TV performance on The X Factor. This had an estimated viewing audience of 12 million.

In between TV gigs, Ben has been part of several recording sessions with major label artists signed to Island Records, Polydor and Universal.

After the Girls Aloud work, Ben was snapped up by Island Records to be part of the band LadyHawke in February 2009. After just two rehearsals with the band, Ben was touring with the UK Silver Platinum Album New Zealand artist , supporting The Ting Tings on their UK Tour. During this two weeks, Ben made another TV appearance on The Channel Four Album Chart Show. This was filmed at the legendary Koko Club, Camden. Venues like Brixton Academy, Portsmouth Guildhall, Manchester Apollo were to follow as part of the tour. With Ladyhawke, Ben has very high profile gigs coming up including Glastonbury, Reading, SXSW and her own UK headline tour in May.
