Dean Hendy

Liam Madison

UK session drummer Dean Hendy has been playing the drums for as long as he can remember and played his first gig at the age of 14.

Dean started playing the drums at a very early age, playing by ear and jamming along to all of the family’s record collection.

After having lessons from a great drum teacher, who goes by the name of Luddy, he started to read music and open up his mind to experience different genres, playing styles and cultures that has helped him become the player he is today.

He decided to further his training by taking lessons from a few of the UK’s top drum tutors, whilst working with various cover bands on the nightclub and holiday camp circuit.

Since breaking through as a session musician, Dean has performed with countless shows and tours, and featured on recordings of different styles of music from orchestral all the way through to rock.

Dean has supported a host of professional artists, performed on well-known theatre shows and for some of the top leading tribute shows in the UK.

Furthering his musical training, Dean has picked up qualifications in music and drums which enabled him to be an educator himself, and has a large number of pupils keen to replicate his success.

Having been trained to read music, use click/metronome and playing with loops, Dean has broadened his skills and versatility.
